Better For You Shamrock Shake
Minty. Creamy. Timeless.
I think most of us grew up on McDonald’s shamrock shake. Memories flood back every March as they bring back this seasonal item. But, if you’re like me, you’ve changed how you’re eating. One of the first things to go is McDonald’s.
No worries! You can still have a minty shake that helps you meet your goals instead of wrecking them (and probably giving you a tummy ache to boot).
This is packed with protein, probiotics, and GOOD for you ingredients! Raw milk, obviously, but also yogurt, honey, and matcha (if desired)! I promise you don’t taste the matcha, just a sweet minty flavor.
You can add collagen to this like me, or you could use a vanilla flavored whey and omit the honey and vanilla! Whatever floats your boat! Or lucks your charms maybe? Whatever.
Better For You Shamrock Shake
Ingredients:
2 cups ice
1 cup raw whole milk
1/2 cup greek yogurt (I used full fat)
1/4 cup plain collagen powder
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon matcha (optional, just makes it a little green)
1 teaspoon mint extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a blender and process on high until it becomes a thick shake. About 30-60 seconds. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
