Homemade Alfredo
Super easy, kid and husband approved.
Devin is a big pasta guy. And I’m a big “I’m tired and want an easy dinner” girl. This fits the bill!
This is super easy, yet can feel fancy. Pour it over pasta or spaghetti squash and top it with a grilled meat! We love it with chicken or, better yet, venison tenderloin!
Homemade Alfredo
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons flour (use gluten free if needed)
2 cups of cream top milk, don’t shake it so you get more cream! Or use just cream
1 cup grated parmesan
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter. Add in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds to a minute. Add in the flour and cook for about another minute.
SLOWLY whisk in them cream top milk. Be sure to go slow so that you can make a nice sauce with the roux without leaving chunks of flour. Bring the milk sauce to a simmer.
Whisk in the parmesan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over pasta. Enjoy!
