Homemade Chocolate Milk
Your kids love chocolate milk, but you don’t love the ingredients? Try this 5 ingredient, whole food chocolate milk!
Gosh, this stuff is GOOD. Creamy, rich, and very chocolatey! It’s super easy to make too. And it’s a bulk recipe that makes half a gallon of chocolate milk!
Five simple ingredients make this and you can feel better about giving it to your kids. For mine, I’ll toss an egg yolk or two into it to add to the nutrients.
The blender does froth it so if you’re storing it in a half gallon jug, you may find it hard to get it all in until the foam settles. The cocoa powder does want to settle too. I like to use a half gallon mason jar with a pour spout lid and throw a shaker ball in there to help mix it up.
Bonus, you can throw this in your coffee too! Win for moms and kids!
Homemade chocolate milk
Ingredients:
7 cups of raw milk
1 cup maple syrup (vairy this to sweetness taste as 1 cup makes it very sweet)
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
1 tablespoon pure vanilla
1/2 teaspoon good mineral sea salt
Instructions:
In a blender, add about 2-3 cups of milk, the maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt. Pulse until the cocoa powder is well blended into the milk mixture.
Pour the cocoa milk into a half gallon or bigger jug. Add the rest of the milk in. You may need to let the foam settle to be able to get all of the milk in. Pour a little into your coffee as you wait and to help the process out. Enjoy!
